Kombucha Mushroom Tea
Kombucha Tea is a blood cleaner, tastes like either vinegar or ginger ale, seems I brew both types accidently
Date: 10/8/2005 8:11:31 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 2496 times I received my Kombucha SCOBY in the mail yesterday. Thanks guys, right in the middle of my work week. I work 12 hour shifts overnight, in a clean room ~~bunny suit and all~~ Sleep a few hours and back to work for four days this week. I have a routine in the morning when I get home, I take a slug of rejuvelac, my cottage cheese and flax oil. I have a beer ~~nothing cuts the mucous in my mouth (having worn a face mask all night) like a cold beer, Water at this point doesn't do the trick, forget soda ~~better living thru chemistry~~ Beer is made of natural products somewhat... I sure would like to find one that is all organic ~~I'm wondering~~
My eating routine is dinner at midnight, chicken salad sandwich on rye toast with a slice of raw onion and coleslaw on the side with a pickle ~~not many restaurants that time of night that doesn't cost a fortune~~, some mission figs abt 8 pm and a cup of coffee at 4 am. Can't eat much more than that and manage to get my work done. By the way I work as a Maintenance Technician, so I am going from the time I get to work until I leave at 6:20 am. I don't want to eat energy food when I get home in the morning because I don't need it at the moment and at that time all I want is to get some sleep ~sleep I get abt 5 hours~~
I spend quality time with my cats, that is the ones that want quality time ~~right now they are all sleeping, rainy muggy day in New York~~
Think I will get up and leave for work early because I want to get an large glass jar to make my Kombucha tea in, some green tea and sugar ~~I haven't bought sugar in about 20 years~~~ I will probably fall over at the price.
I am anxious to start the Kombucha tea, heard a lot of wonderful things about it. Need the probiotics............
I have never been a pill taker and that includes vitamins. I haven't taken over-the-counter cold-flu medication and I have never wanted to take the flu vaccine, I have no arthritis like most people my age have. I work with a lot of chemicals. I don't believe there is a majik pill out there to solve all my ails.
To me a cold is housecleaning and when I feel one coming on I take stock of what I've been doing the past couple of months to build up the mucus, so I do water with lemon juice or water with sea salt, a little cayenne. I let a fever run its couse. I never use coffee to keep me awake, just one when I leave for work and my 4 am one. I think it is the relaxation of sitting down and drinking it, sometimes I drink half and half in it but never sugar.... No aversion to sugar it just picks me up and then drops me down at a very inconvenient time. Maybe I have learned moderation.....
Well 9 am time to get to sleep so I can go to work tonight and not be thoroughly exhausted tomorrow, I'm a slug but not grumpy...
