There may be times when a surgical procedure will be more advantageous for survival than foregoing the doctor recommended operation however I personally don't generally recommend having surgery and most especially if the condition is one of either nutrient-deficiency or toxicity. Dr. Carolyn Dean has a remarkable understanding about how nutrient deficiencies are misinterpreted as disease and consequentially (mis)treated medically with pharmaceuticals. There are other doctors and health practitioners who have addressed the area of toxicity and how certain cleanses can free the body of the various forms of suffering from a variety of toxic conditions. A third cause of "disease" is the "Shock Conflict" that I have blogged about here as well as at "Son of Truth of Self" and Psyche & Health" (with regards to the New Medicine).
In this moment of writing this I'm now thinking that part of the role of Intuitive Medicine is to discern between these three "pathways" of "disease" and then trace the symptomology back to original cause.
