Not just the Leaders
Most average people are just as bad as our leaders
Date: 4/2/2014 11:20:11 AM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 3175 times We see our leaders in government and in the corporate world abusing people, as if "we the people" are just dog shit to be used for cheap labour and cannon fodder.
On the other hand, there are a lot of people who are very disrespectful towards each other.
If we look at the world of humans as being two groups - the powerful elites as one, and "we the little people" as the other, it could be said that WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET because so many of us really are just dog shit.
This is coming from seeing the many SCAMS that people perpetrate on each other, often using our own natural needs and desires to trick us. Also, people steal from their friends and neighbors and pick on the unfortunately dim-witted amongst us.
Many of us regular folks are doing the "Everybody for themselves", and "never help and always take" routines.
Yes, maybe we learned this attitude from seeing how badly our leaders are acting, but that isn't really a good excuse.
I am boldly going to take the high ground here in saying that I am not referring to myself as one of the "people who abuse and use other people". I actually help others, and I am often taken advantage of because I am "a soft touch"... but if that is the only price I have to pay for having a clean conscience then I am happy to pay it.
I try to promote the idea that "we should be good to each other, the enemy isn't us", but that seems to be a neon sign flashing "here is a suc***, come and get it". I protect myself well enough, but I do see many attempts to hit on me by other average people.
And ALL THIS is to say that MAYBE WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET. If we all go down as cannon fodder or end up starving in the cold due to the "global conspiracy of the elites", it won't exactly be FAIR, but it won't be totally undeserved either. The only way we can beat our overlords is to unite and be good to each other so we all become strong and smart... and THAT does not appear to be happening.
