Pyramid - means "Fire in the Middle"
Pyramid mysteries are not over - there is more to learn, such as "why did ET want the ancient people to built pyramids all over the world 4500 years ago?"

100s and 100s of large stone pyramids that were built about the same time all around the world - in Egypt, Mexico, South America, Cambodia, Bosnia, China, and elsewhere.
They were all built about 4000 to 5000 years ago, which was long before dependable transoceanic travel by boat was being done by people.
So, how did this come to be if those ancient people could not communicate or travel to the other places?
And, would they really be built as a "burial chamber" only? How about a "burial chamber with a specific purpose that only pyramids could fulfill"?
There are referances in the Mayan pyramids of "transformation" ; "people going into the pyramids and coming out after some time changed, transformed".
Other referances suggest a function "to connect that above with that below" - but below the pyramid? - or "above the pyramid" as in the stars? -call to ET from on top of pyramids??
Did all those different cultures all around the world, about 4500 years ago, get the suggestion, and perhaps blueprints, from the same source, perhaps something to do with the stars, as in extraterrestrials? Was it through extraterrestrial intelligence that they learned how to move huge stone blocks and the technology to cut extremely hard rock [as in some of the Mayan pyramids] before they could even build a big enough BOAT to sail across the oceans?
Perhaps all we need to ask now is "why did E.T. want them to build these pyramids?"
So lets look at the word "Pyramid" -
Pyramid - Prye = fire; Mid = middle ; "fire in the middle"
And furthermore, as the dictionary points out, "pyre" is often a "a piled up fire used for cremating a corpse" and "a fire for purification rituals"

Okaythen, so we have Pyramids having a fire in the middle for the purpose of purification or transformation.
Fast Forward - 20th Century:
Did you know there are 17 large MODERN pyramds in Russia? It was a project by Alexander Gulag.
These pyramids have been shown to promote plant growth, human health, and that they can amplify the effectiveness of antibiotics by 10,000 times. They are there for anyone to go see, one is just 25 miles north of Moscow.
Alexander Golod was working on the idea that pyramids can "multiply the energy below ground and send it out above", which was, apparently, a success. Remember the Mayan referances to "connect that above with that below"? Hmmm.
Another modern scientist Joe Parr measured the electrical and EMF energies of Giza pyramid in Egypt, but found them to be weak, so he went home and did lab experiments to amplify the energies of pyramids. He spun pyramid models around in an electric field and found he could amplify the effects, creating a "bubble of energy around the pyramid" and that bubble would block out Gamma Rays - nothing else known to sceince can block gamma rays.
Joe Parr died in 2010, by the way.... but not before he found that those energy fields would sometimes ALIGN WITH THE CONSTELLATION ORION. The Great Pyramid of Giza has many Orion alignments also.
Are We Ready?
Are we ready to know the secrets of the Pyramids? The excavation work has simply not been allowed to proceed in many nations, but as times change and the funding for the work is being gathered up, people in places such as Egypt, Bosnia, China and Mexico are beginning to make plans to "dig into the secrets of the pyramids".
Perhaps the blueprints that so many far-flung ancient peoples seemed to all share will be found, and we will learn about the mysterious connection to Orion.
