I want to make sure this event is on my schedule. I explored verbally doing Plant Your Dream Work with Mimi Gernari, the founder of the Scripps Integrative Medicine Center. We spoke about this in February at the Natural Supplements Conference event.
That keynote by Dr. Andrew Weil M.D. had a major impact on my health. I had a very intense winter. Every time I was around someone with a cold or flu symptoms, my own immune system felt lowered.
I began to imagine the condition was psychosomatic. I would get symptoms even being around my own loved one, almost instantly.
Dr. Weil mentioned the supplements that he personally took. One was mushrooms.
It was a day later that I first heard about Paul Stamets, the author of a book I now treasure called "Mycellium Running."
It was through another friend, Mark Blumenthal, head of the American Botanical Council, that I was introduced to the work of Paul Stamets. It was also through Mark, at the annual Natural Product Expo West yearly ABC event that I had my first quality time with this most remarkable man.
I have been taking MyCommunity, one of the Host Defense products ever since.
I have a tendency to have IBS symtoms. I have lived with an inflamed bowel and conditions of diarrhea that persisted not for days but years.
Through the addition of the Host Defense products, and perhaps two other products that I was already taking, my bowel health seems to have considerably improved.
The two other products that I want to mention in this regard are the Cold & Flu formula of Cesar Torres, a TCM product that is primarily available through this practitioner himself, and a product called MyVIta--a broad spectrum liquid mineral supplement that I first learned about through friends of Dr Bernard Jensen.
