Wikileaks Exposes US Officials Trafficing Drugs from Mexico
US official are FACILITATING the transportation of cocaine and heroin into the USA from Mexico.

Stratfor Emails Expose Drug Trafficing Permission Tactic, where US Officials ALLOW Drugs over the Border into the USA
More than just ALLOWING illegal drugs to flow into the USA, US official are FACILITATING the transportation of cocaine and heroin into the USA from Mexico.
Yes, this is all very hard to believe when the stated purpose of the drug prohibition laws is to protect Americans from the harms of certain drugs, but in fact trafficing of illegal drugs across the US border from Mexico is given the okay by US officials, on the basis that only ONE of the Mexican drug cartels will be given permission to do so - the Sinaloa cartel.
The DEA, CIA, ICE, and border patrol agencies are all cooperating with this plan.
The idea is that with only one drug cartel operation in the USA, they can be both watched closely and taken down if there is any violence on their part. The other benefit of doing it this way is that a certain portion of the drug trafficing PROFITS can be demanded by those same US officials and agencies.

That plan involves something called a "signalling strategy" wherethe various cartels come to see that they will be wiped out unless they cooperate by allowing the Sinaloa cartel to have a monopoly on transporting the drugs and trafficing them in the USA.
The signal was "Sinaloa is winning".
Here is a pertinant Quote from the Stratfor email that was intercepted, copied, and then distributed by the WikiLeaks organisation.
"the message that Sinaloa was winning was, in my view, intended to tell SEDENA
to stop taking down large trucks full of dope as they made their way to the US. These large shipments were Sinaloa's, and they are OK with the Americans."

The only motivations that could justify such a move would be to either reduce the flow of illegal drugs into the USA, or to reduce the drug cartel violence that has taken so many Mexican and American lives - over the past three years there have been at least 50,000 Mexican deaths, and and estimated 5000 American deaths directly related to Mexian drug cartel turf wars in Mexico and the USA!! [note that the number of American lives lost is twice the number of American lives lost in 9/11].
So, did it? Well there are MORE illegal drugs now than ever getting into the USA, although the drug cartels are killing slightly fewer people now. On the other hand, the low level dealers in the USA are being targetted by law enforcement, plus the increased amounts of drugs means more local turf wars in the USA, and therefore MORE deaths on US streets - much of the problem has been transferred from Mexico to the USA!!
