Average people need decent, moral, representatives in business and government

The Way of the Good
Whenever and wherever there is powerfull forces that might be harnessed, there will be ego-driven people who will try to get it and keep it away from others.
The idea of capitalism is exactly that - allow a few to have massive amounts of "capital" [i.e. money] and they will be able to do things with it that could not be done otherwise, such as to build a big factory or lay railway lines across the nation.
It is LIE!! - the idea holds water, but to believe that "the capitalist way is the only way" is to allow the enslavement of the population by a few.
These things could be done by average people, you and I, by putting our little bits of money together. WE could own the "association" and keep control of our own destiny and take the rewards the big projects produce. WE would have to appoint, or elect, from our own ranks, a few people with impeccable moral standards to oversee the projects - they would have to be GOOD hearted people because being in a position of power presents the opportunity to enrich one'self, to be corrupted.
It is NOT a stretch of imagination that such people exist. If you chose me, I would certainly do my best to make good decisions for all of us. I am not materialistic, I do not have ambitions to be "better than others"... and there are millions of people like me. How about yourself?
The thing about people in government today is that they are selected from the ranks of the political parties on the basis of their ability and willingness to win at all costs. They are the absolute WORST choice for us to have as our representatives in government because their loyalty is to the party, not to the people.
So that is business and government - we can see how they operate.
What if there were ANOTHER KIND OF POWER BESIDES MONEY?
The movie Promethius touches on the power of "controlling the evolution and destiny of the human race".
Initially, according to the movie, human hybrids, smarter that the naturally evolving humans on earth, were created by aliens - as in "extra terrestrials" and the secrets of how to control entire populations of people, or the whole human race, was known by those aliens.
That may have all been well and fine - the aliens were helping us, giving us a boost - but of course, there would be a few ego driven people who wanted to have that power the aliens had, and to keep it for themselves.
The dark forces on earth are the people who are power hungry. It has allways been this way. They are the enemy - its not terrorists, or environmentalists [as Canada's PM Harper insists are enemies of the nation], or drug addicts, or socialists or communists - the enemy is the dark heart of powerlust.
This is who we must fight now. The enlightenment of the human race depends on wresting power from the evil ones and taking it back for ourselves. We can find honest and good people to help us organise the big projects, and to be in government.
