Day 8
I had a larger detox yesterday but am feeling great today.
Date: 1/27/2011 7:13:26 AM ( 13 y ) ... viewed 1517 times One week down! I had a pretty bad detox yesterday. I was extremely irritable and then I came down with a fever for about 2 hours. I feel wonderful now.
It's probably time to do an enema. Booooooo. Oh well. And I need to take my psyllium husk with bentonite. I don't know which is worse. The husk/bentonite drink or the enema. Oh well. I always feel like a million bucks afterwards, so bottoms up.
We got a lot of snow last night, which is nice. It would be nice to eat soup, but I know that I would go crazy with the comfort food, so it's probably best that I am fasting right now.
My friend was telling me about a study on fasting and how they are finding that it induces a genetic reaction. (I don't know if that is the real term the PhDs used, or if that was the only term my friend could remember.) The scientists are finding that fasting almost starts a hibernation state and that people/animals fasting really should simply sleep more and let our bodies heal, because the healing process is finally able to begin. It's also a way to teach our body (or force) to use up the fat reserves that store toxins. It's like an oil change for the body. I didn't read the study, so I am only going by what my friend said. I will see if I can find it.
I am a little hungry, so I am going to go juice.
