Dear ONEGaaT/San Diego Victory Garden Project members,
Our next meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, August 28 from 2-4 PM at the Farm and Home Advisors Conference room at 5555 Overland Ave. Suite 4101 (building 4), San Diego, CA 92123. Mindy and I hope you all can make it as we sort out info from your survey and start to form working groups for Home, School and Community Gardens. Please RSVP to Bob. Our agenda will be full of input from all of you. Here it is:
1. 5 minutes -Welcome/Intros
2. 10 minutes - Survey data review: Where you fit in the project
3. 35 minutes - Breakout groups to develop specific information about these 4 areas: Promotion/Publicity; Educational Outreach/Resource Materials/Garden Start up kits; Donor/Fundraising ideas; Political Advocacy
5. 5-10 Minutes - Review of breakout session
6. 30 minutes - Breakout sessions to discuss implementation ideas for each garden area: Home, School and Community
7. 10 minutes - Review of 2nd breakout/Next steps/Next meeting
It is Mindy's and my goal to have each garden area up and ready to start promotion/development/gardening by October at the latest. We think this meeting is most important to develop plans which sub groups can then refine and implement. Again your input and participation will be critical.
2. Would anyone or two or three like to bring healthy snacks with zero waste to this meeting? Let me know. Thanks in advance.
