Questions about the Master Cleanse

I just have a couple questions.....First I am trying to lose a little bit of weight at the same time, is this a good start to weight loss or am I just going to gain it all back once I get off the cleanse. Second, I smoke and seriously want to quit, I know you cant smoke will doing the cleanse but would it smart to go on the cleanse and quit smoking at the same time, or should I quit for a while first and then start the cleanse? I appreciate you
