Pastry boy,if you would read something other than right wing crap, you'd see that everyone agrees that the economy is slowing down to new lows. Even right wing economists agree. If you were have as observant as tyou believed yourself to be,you'd see this economy is only working for the afluent.
Housing has slown, the Fed is worried about inflation,(that is why they did not raise interest rates a couple of weeks ago) record deficits, stagnagnt wages, record trade deficit. the unemploymetn rate is low, because millions of discouraged workers have dropped out of the workforce and are not counted as unemployed. Every chld born in the US.will acquire $30,000 of debt, medical care pricing out of control....of course you know all of this already right?
Of course you also know tht George Bush is the only president(even those presidents who served during a time of war) that has not created 1 net new job since he has taken office. Not 1 net job. If you lose 10 million jobs and brag about 6 million "new" jobs, you are still down 4 million jobs. Do you see how that work bozo?
and here is a nice little nugget from the Census Bureau.
The Bush Record: More Poverty, More Uninsured
President Bush says “the foundation of our economy is solid, and it’s strong.” That’s true, for some: corporate profits have now climbed to their highest share of GDP since the 1960’s.
But new Census Bureau data show the real state of the current economy. The Bush record on combating poverty and insuring more Americans is an undisputed failure.
Poverty, All Races up from 30 million in 2000 to 39 million in 2006
Number of Uninsured 39 million in 2000 up to 49 million in 2006
Wow ,that is a record to be proud of. Corporate profits are up while the middle class and the poor are getting zip, nada.
Way to go Bush!!
If you take the time to listen to people and hear their concerns you 'd know that they don';t give a crap about the GDP. They just care on how the economy effects them and their families.
