Has anyone experienced LOOOOOOOOONG periods with Mirena??

I've had it almost a month and I've been having my period for 2.5 weeks.
When I got it everything went fine. Minimal pain . . . my period ended normally. Then in just a few days I started my cycle again . . . . like I said this weekend will put me at 3 weeks of CONSTANT period.
I haven't called the doctor yet. I am not having any other problems and I don't want to have to lose my birthcontrol.
ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS?
