I had no idea all of these symptoms were my mirena (May '05 insert) talking. I am 36 and I thought I was to blame for not taking baby weight off and not getting enough excercise. I have a constant pain in my upper left back. I thought this was from carrying my 18mth old. I have hip pain to the point it feels like I need both replaced. My mood swings are sporadic but always crazy and this past summer I contemplated suicide twice. I have never had any of these types of things happen to me. I was healthy before mirena and I never had trouble getting weight off until now. After my second child I even ran a marathon. I couldn't imagine that now! What an eye opener this has been. I intend to remove Mirena in October.
