what is actually accomplished by religion bashing, no matter who does it? and since when does anyone have the absolute truth?

if someone knocks on your door to discuss islam? has anyone ever had that happen? muslims do not go door to door, talking to strangers and trying to solicit new members. yet islam is the fastest growing religion in many countries. are all those people crazed and deluded or demented? are they all aspiring killers, or do they all endorse violence? statistically impossible, i would think.

i hope everyone is able to develop his or her own spirituality in the best way for them, and i do not feel that anyone can dictate to another what that best way is. for anyone to start pointing out religious people of any faith who have extremist positions or apocalyptic messages or violent undertakings in the name of religion would be a tiring discussion because we all know these things exist in every religion. clearly islam has not cornered the market on this.
