I wish I read all these logs on Mirena before I decided to get it.

I had the mirena inserted June because I wanted the most effective / hassle free method of birth control. My gynecologist agreed since I also was borderline hypertensive and had blood pressure issues with my last pregnancy. She said this would be better than the pill or the patch since it uses the least amount of hormones. When I went to my 1 month follow-up, my blood pressure was 200/120. My gynecologist sent me to the ER right away. I've been on blood pressure medication since then. I'm still working on getting my blood pressure under control, but I think that Mirena may be the cause - it is listed as a side effect - but my doctor has not even recommended this course of action!

My bleeding hasn't stopped since the Mirena was inserted. I've also been experiencing mood swings, chills, and hair loss.
The hair loss started about a month ago and I'm really getting worried that I'll go bald if the hair loss doesn't stop.

I thought I could handle the side effects, but now I'm thinking this isn't worth it. I want to get back to my old healthier self. How long does it take for the side effects to go away after the Mirena is removed?
