I agree with that Lapis -
"Stop seeing God as separate, and get rid of the guy in the sky and the savior coming to save us ideas. "

I could even add "so whats left" and suggest forgetting about god altogether, than what is left IS just people and nautre and there we are together we must be one.

There is the ties that link all life, and there is the common experience of living on Planet earth. There is hydrogen from which all elements came, and they may return to being hydrogen someday. There is no doubt that it is all linked, connected, interdependant.

When we stray from that realism into thinking that the future is pre-ordained, or that things have been set in motion an won't be altered, we lose. We might even stop being responsible, we might start hoping for a Rapture [apocalypse] and we might just let it all go to hell... which is clearly the path we are on now, see the darkening skies from pollution, which is the choice we make every day, it is not biblical.
Fantasy allows for these abuses and misguided dangerous habits like burning fossil fuels until the skies darken. Otherwise, rational thinking would take over and we would change to alternatives, or at least stop stopping the alternative energy forms from becoming popular.
