Hi,I currently have the Mirena and have had it for about 6 weeks now and after doing a google search, for possible side effects (because I feel like I'm crazy for feeling this way) I kept searching and finally came across this site and am so glad. I have all of these horrible symptoms,.. I have only had one period and it was a nightmare and then the acne, hair loss, headaches, grouchyness,modd swings, lack of energy and emotional ups and downs and not to mention weight gain. I had a baby 4 mos. ago was looking and feeling wonderful and now I feel like I just had her yesterday, and the dry mouth and my muscles ache! aaaaaaah, I am on the phone right now to get it removed I'd rather be abstinent or sterile this is horrible. I feel so dumb for ever considering getting this in and listening to my doctor (a family friend) who told me everyone in europe is doing it. How long did it take to feel like yourself after removing the mirena?..thanks, I am so glad I found this site.
