The ridiculous housing market in New York has its tentacles in nabes like Bushwick which used to be hell on earth. Now it's just place to live because the artsy fartsy FIT students are renting out all the grimy apartments and fixing it up. I also have friends living in the Village for next to nothing. Three kids get together and rent a loft in Williamsburg then it becomes cheap living. Does anyone actually live by themselves in the city? LOL!
