Hi
After your post about the Amino Acids article, I decided to try it too.
I bought Glutamine, Tyrosine, Taurine, GABA, and 5HTP.
The only one I couldn't buy at our local GNC was Pheylanine.

I started by taking 1 of each every day. Glutamine and Tyrosine (I think) in the morning, Taurine and 5HTP (I think) at Noon and GABA at night to help me wind down and relax.

After the first day I started having pretty constant diarrea. So I slacked off of them. I have to say, though, that first couple days I felt much more alert and awake in the afternoons. I've been having a real problem with muddy foggy brain and sleepy in the afternoons. I really feel like I can barely hold my head up most days and I get plenty of regular sleep.

The Aminos did seem to help the sleepy afternoons but I've quit taking them because of the diarrea. Maybe if I can narrow it down to just one of the pills and eliminate that one. Keep up the great posts, I would love to hear your experiences with Amino Acids.

I've also always had suspicions that Psoriasis is partly due to brain chemical imbalances since most people I've known who develop it usually suffer a traumatic event prior. I personally suffer from stress-induced eczema and the only cure is to eliminate the stress causing it (which has at times been school, abusive relationship, etc.) After the stress was eliminated the eczema cleared up, despite visits to the dermatologist and various creams and lotions. I think these ailments require a total mind-body treatment that may include Amino Acids to help with appropriate production of brain chemicals.

Any thoughts?
