I just remembered. About the raw vegan who discovered raw egg yolks, if i recall correctly, he said he only needed to consume about 3 egg yolks (not the white/albumin part) WEEKLY..so it seems one does not need much to meet one's requirements..but that is an individual issue.

I've been eating raw eggs myself for quite awhile (up to 5 daily)..and in case anyone's afraid of bacteria, fear not. Even if the egg is black and stinks to high heaven, i still eat it..and experience NO problems. Germs are really quite good for you...the worst side effect from eating rotten raw eggs being diarrhea..but that's it..and diarrhea is very cleansing anyway.

I have read of all the rituals one "should" do prior to eating a raw egg or egg yolk and you can just toss those recommendations out the door. Eat the egg if its fresh or rotten..and you don't have to refridgerate eggs either. If it's rotten, i just view it as still having the same nutrients and protein, but being more or less "pre-digested" and worked on by the bacteria inside. So a rotten egg is perhaps MORE healthful than a fresh one..especially if it's a fertile free-range organic egg from happy chickens. (But be sure to pinch your nose if you gulp down a rotten one..lol).
