Hi Julie. I haven't been checking the blogs lately, just monitoring the Liver Flush and Bowel cleanse forum, but then I remembered about you and enjoy reading about your journey, so I checked in today. How Funny.... As I was reading your last post, and you talked about the pain after eating nuts, I was thinking....Oh, that might be gallbladder issue...I wonder if she remembered I told her about Liver flushes. And then was pleased to hear your practioner recommended them....and then further on your actually mentioned me. That made me laugh. Yeah! I got mentioned and thanked on Curezone! I'm famous! Funny!

Anyway, I have done two liver flushes now, and after the first one I spontaneously lost five pounds and have kept it off for 1 and 1/2 months now. I don't know why, since I am not overweight, per se ( am now probably 5 lbs from ideal weight) Very happy about it though, as being slim (not skinny) is good for you and I enjoy it. Since I have not done much else different, I know it was something about the flush. Perhaps my body is acheiving even more balance and health.

At any rate, I thought that should give you some encouragement! ha!

They are really not bad, and once you do one or two, you will be an old hand at it. There is a great book called "The Amazing Liver and Gallblader Flush" by Andreas Moritz that has all kinds of great info and walks you through, very thoroughly I might add, the whole process. My naturalpath recommended I get it and I am glad I did. Lots of people on the Liver Flush forum use it. That is a good forum, btw, to get yourself familiar with those flushes.

I didn't pass any stones the first time around, and only about 20 really, really small ones the second time, but I heard from the forum that that is really common. You are supposed to do a series of them, one every month or two, until you are stone free. I know a lot of people don't want to commit to that...so I guess you'll see how it works for you.

It seems like you are now on the "balancing and creating health" side of your weight loss. Bummer that there is more work to be done, but good that you are now seeing signs that things are out of balance. It's weird, but when people are overweight and eating poorly, they seem to not notice this pain or that pain, but now that you are obviously so much healthier and eating so well, you are dealing with things here and there. I wish it was over for you and you could happily skip along, but Oh well!

One of my ideas to help you through having to eat so healthy (which you are definetly doing!) is that once you achieve good health, you don't have to be so careful about what you eat. I am now in really good health, and while I eat very well, I am not perfect. It seems, though, that my body can handle it, and compensates well enough. Like you I love wine and beer, and margaritas too! I eat cooked foods every day, too. I try to eat whole, fresh, and wholesome, but also I eat organic bread, and cheese, etc. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that you may not always have to be so strict. (That is how it is for me....can't say if it will be like that for you, but I hope so!) Getting yourself healthy will be the means to be able to live a more normal life and let yourself enjoy "bad" foods sometimes.

Another small thought I had is that I soak all my nuts and seeds overnight. They are naturally hard to digest, and when you soak them overnight, it makes them sprout, ever so slightly, and then they are 100 times easier to digest. You might try it. They also improve the taste of walnuts a ton. I found raw, unsoaked walnuts so bitter. They are way better soaked.

Well, I have written a novel too, so I will sign off. Keep in touch!
