Glad you can relate.

It's actually rather odd, since I was invited to and attended a few social events over the recent holidaze. When I'm reading your blog and others such as Lapis' blog I instantly realize it's probably what I ate!

I don't ever really do the junk food thing anymore, however, I do make eating
choices that affect me and seem to ease the way into a major funk, if you know what I mean.

For me, it often starts with bread. Something that simple. I am not someone who should really ever eat bread or other grains. They cause me inflammation almost immediately, and as soon as I eat one thing with bread then before you know it I hunger for some other baked good.

It was funny, because at the restaurant where I went to a brunch with a delightful group of people Easter morning, the friend who was sitting next to me commented that I had chosen a healthy plateful of food.

Perhaps it appeared that way to her, but it was cooked food, which to me is not what I ideally would like to nourish myself with.

I could have just feasted on the salad bar only and the fruits, but by then I was far along the path of choices I had started making the prior day before the Passover dinner.

At this point I've been eating Juliano's Flax Crax which are vegan/raw/organic and quite cleansing as well, and have had a nice "Blue Krishna" fruit smoothie at the local Co-op this morning.

So the cleansing has begun. And I truly do feel better already.

I am not by any means 100% raw as sometimes I have cooked vegetables, but I do want to give up grains--all baked goods!

Just for the moment, I feel good.

Why is this all about me?

I am so glad you have connected with a new friend in Ireland who lives near Shawn's kids. That is so cool!

Blessings to you!
