Love is above all else...truth. It is not a romantic notion...a simple emotion.
Apathy is not based in love. Apathy resides in the polar opposite of love....and that is fear. Turning away from the signposts of disease is not "loving." It is a fear based action that enables a parasitic relationship to take place. If you give your power (freedom) away, you become powerless. Facing the signposts of global disease with awareness, and then acting accordingly, is one of the purest expressions of love (truth).

Gandhi did not ignore attrocites or hide away his critique of them. Nor did Mother Teresa. We live in a world of duality where we must notice the contrast and then decide our response out of that contrast. That is where the highest truth of all resides...in *that* response. Many ideas of potential response to *this* contrast can be found in my "One" blog. This particular blog, "Collective Disease Incorporated" is about examining the contrast (signposts of incoherency) so we can choose appropriate action to make corrections (regain coherency). The same is true in the microcosm (our bodies) as it is in the macrocosm (the world at large). We must not ignore the sign posts of dis'ease. ;-)

So in the end I am all for being a "point of light," however, apathy has no charge to power any light. It may be good to apply that quote of yours from, 1 Corinthians 13, to the man who claimes to be christian (the topic of this blog), yet calls for the death of fellow human beings(incohernecy). To silence critique of *that* by the use of misguided bible scripture only serves to enable this kind of toxic betrayal.
Under the same premise should we stand quietly by while catholic preists rape young men, or gurus utilize their brand of mind control, or politicians engineer a world of tyranny? Apathy under tow of misguided religious texts leads to slavery in all forms. Wolves in sheeps clothing tend to utilize the very same religious texts and even others from other religious belief systems, in order to leverage/shape the minds of people. Belief systems are powerful devices. Make sure you actually chose yours so that your experience is a coherentt one borne of your creation.
