Thanks for the get back...  1970 was in Tampa; moved to Atlanta area in Sept '71....  My hitch hiking days were over by then...   I did get picked up once back in '86; off I20 in Alabama, when I ran out of gas, (that really was not my fault... Ha, Ha :-)...  There were only two occurrences of that in my life...     up in the Talladega Natl. Forest...  Actually Got a ride both ways up to next exit to Gas station, and back...  I must have a trusting face.... 

I do have some very interesting stories yet to tell...  Some people think I make this up, but you have to admit it is too different, and radical to be made up....  I am writing a book on my travels; this blog is just a dry run, with the plot and layout, if you please....    The actual book will have many more details... Just when you thought you had heard it all.... 

I had always thought these type things were common to all people, but then I would relate my happenings and people would stare and say "you made that up or you have got to be kidding?"   So here I go on with my life's adventures....  Let me know what you think??    See ya... K
