I think you could very well succeed doing something similar to her work. You're already on that path with the close ups you do of your foods. You have strong creative vision, keep playing around and experimenting, you'll hit up on a rhythm that's all about what you're trying to convey.

I believe you could claim her kind of prices as well. What you charge for your work is a direct reflection of what you believe it's worth.
