From what I have been able to glean from the pages of history, {of course you must beware of which or who's history you read!! } it appears that the people are and have been some what in the back ground in the formation and execution of government... Most do not seem to know or care about what or how things are done by those who govern... It is a sad state of affairs, but true never the less....

I blame the educational system, and those behind it, for this particular problem. Whether intentional (my money is here) or due to ignorance, the simple fact is that schools rarely teach American history with an eye toward teaching an appreciation for why the founders overthrew the English government. Liberty and justice are words spoken during the Pledge of Allegiance that few today understand. The few who notice the degradation of both are a bit overwhelmed by the mass of people who no longer have the capacity to notice.

This is, of course, precisely how those who control things like it.

And I imagine the Christians like it too, since, lacking a real foundation, the masses of Christians can easily be convinced to accept the version offered by the Christian Nationalists.

And the fight keeps going, and going, and going...
