As you stated in a previous blog, religion can be a form of slavery....  Religion is many things;

 1) a quest for the values of ideal life,

2) a particular system in which the ideal life has been embodied {as Christian, Muslin, ect...}

3) the recognition on the part of mankind of a superior being entitled to obedience and reverence,

4) the feeling  or spiritual attitude of those recognizing the Superior being,

5) The practice of certain sacred rites or observances,

6) a point or matter of conscience...

And a few more definitions, not listed....  {Look it up }    The point as to slavery; or being in bondage, is that most people freely choose to accept the religion...  The reason may be another side of the equation, though....  Therefore this becomes a very difficult situation to fathom, much less understand in a short discourse like this....
