I can certainly relate to locking oneself in the bathroom for some quiet time. Do it a lot at my house! I call it "The Meditation Room". My 16 y/o son stays in there for hours. I don't ask what he's doing in there! :) actually, he left the door open once, and I walked by. He was standing at the sink, staring in the medicine cabinet mirror--his eyes were pointed in that direction, I should say, but he wasn't "seeing" anything in the mirror, as he was "seeing somewhere else". I asked him, after he came out, what he was doing. "Thinking" he said; he was unaware that two hours had passed, he thought it was about half an hour...so now, unless it's time to leave for school in the morning, I leave him alone in the bathroom to do his soul-gazing activity. Love, LL
