Hi,

That's the job of the parent. I'm not saying abolish under-age alcohol purchase laws, or vehicle driving age requirements, or the prohibition on minors entering into contracts. Naturally, a child acquires more of his rights as he assumes responsibility for them. As long as the parent bears the responsibility for the child, however, the parent also holds and exercises, or not, the rights of the child.

I'll address some of this later, I expect, but for now, my arguments should be considered solely about those of age, not minors. Parental rights and protection for minors are a different topic.
