RE: mowers: California is working on legislation to reduce the air pollution caused by small engines such as mowers, weed wackers, etc. the Bush Administration initially opposed it, as they said it would economically stress the makers of these small engines, who are out of state, to have to make special engines just for California. Well, the Courts took up the issue in California's favor! Besides, why should the manufacturers of small engines have special ones only for California? Make more fuel-efficient, less polluting engines for the whole country! Change their whole product line! Manufacture push mowers, lawn edgers, and hand tools for gardening that work on human power, not petroleum power! Ban leaf blowers--melt them down and recycle the metal!
