Hi yes I agree the need for pure drinking water is a great challenge and here in our local town the tap water is far from adequate with high levels of salt and in the acidic range of PH. So I built this portable RO unit for home use and for camping it will filter brackish water and make it safe. The filters last for so long since building the unit a year ago I've put through thousands of litres of water without changing them and the water quality is still excellent. I made a video of the unit it's on youtube unfortunately I can't post the link here. Try searching for portable reverse osmosis water filtration unit and you should find it okay.
