 Good post, interesting article!

 I lived in SC for three years, a while back, and have been to Orangeburg many times, plus grew up in rural south Georgia.

 People have to make decisions in life! 

 Orange county SC is well able to support chickens, and has many fruit tress not counting the wild game or  many eatable plants...   So much of this situation in the article; while true seems to be a matter of personal choices...
