Thank you Mayah for the information.  It must be thrilling for you to be able to find and collect the nests when the birds are through with them.

They come to me in late April and leave in early October.  I know its the same ones coming back every year because when they first get here they come to my deck where the feeders are usually hanging.  I always have the juice made and waiting for their return, as soon as I see the first hummingbird out go the feeders.  It usually takes until about the middle of June for all of them to get here.

I live in on a mountain in Tennessee so we don't have them year round.  Its sad sometimes when the first ones get here and its still pretty cold at night, in the morning when they start flying their little bodies are all fluffed up so they almost look twice as fat as they are.  I guess that somehow keeps them warm.

I hope I can find a nest, there must be many of them considering how many birds I have.  I live in the middle of a very wooded area and most of the trees are I'd say 80 feet tall or more.  It makes it very hard to find a nest but I'll never stop looking.  I'll post a picture if I ever find one.

You are very fortunate to have them year round and even more fortunate you don't have to make their food.  I spend a good portion of the day making food and cleaning my many feeders, it almost get to be a full time job and by October I'm ready for it to be over for a while LOL.

Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed your posts.
