Thanks so much for your comment. I have joined, as a UK member. I thought it's worth the relatively small amount of money as this experience is so valuable.

Organic gardening is definitely the direction I will be moving in. It is embarrassing to think that I have been on this planet for so long and don't know how to feed myself, given the wonderful nature of what the the air we breathe and the soil we walk on can do. I intend to rectify that issue asap. I want to jump, not be pushed.

Last night I watched "The Power of Communities" which is about how Cuba handled the peak oil crisis, they called it "The Special Period" and you can Google that too, but here's one I prepared earlier http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Period
as TV chefs would say. By the way the last words in that video are "I think maybe we'll have a better world" and it is immediately followed by a Cuban band that I recognise as being the one that played in our hotel in Varadero when I stayed there in 2005. I loved Cuba, and its people. Our coach tour guide on our trip to to Havana told us that "Cuban people have a way of solving one problem, but it often creates another, but then they will solve that too". That thinking process of not being afraid of what nature throws at you is reflected in my blog title. The community spirit in Cuba is great, and it is reflected in the video (I have also added this to the Peak Oil blog).



So overnight I have learned a lot about the power of organic gardening and now I have access to a resource that will give me experience. And I am definitely in a Cuban mood today! [puts Cuban music on]
