Hi Jo, thank you for your recommendations on visiting "up North". I'm especially intrigued about Lapland. That has always seemed like almost an imaginary place for reindeer rather than somewhere you could actually visit.
One thing I am interested in is how accepted and how available is colon cleansing in Finland? Is colon hydrotherapy (colonics) something that is available there, and if so is it considered an important part of natural health care?
You mentioned in an earlier posting that a friend who was going to join you in your fast might back out if enemas were an essential part of a successful fast. Is that a common perception of enemas there?
I'm interested because I am a certified colon therapist and working in the office of a naturopathic physician where I give colonics every day, as well as enemas as ordered by the doctor. Sometimes when I'm out with friends and meet new people and tell them what I do they react like "You're kidding aren't you!". But not infrequently these very people will seek me out privately afterwards, eager for more information.
But here in the USA, both professionally administered colonics as well as home enemas for personal health and beauty care have had a revival in popularity during the past 2 decades. I give a lot of credit for that to the late Princess Diana, who was a very enthusiastic user of regular colonics, and not afraid to discuss it and credit colon cleansing with helping relieve stress and keep her skin and hair glowing.
I was saddened when we lost her.
Jo, by the time you read this you should be very close to the end of your current fast and I can't tell you how inspired I am by you staying with this during the past month through the ups and downs. I know that I'm not the only one here on Curezone who feels that way!
Congratulations!!!
Valerie
