Sounds like candida. I had/have the same symptoms. Did you check out candida? Is it his left knee? That's considered your third kidney. Mines still huge.

Is he addicted to sugar? Alcohol is sugar. He needs to go on a candida diet or a fruit diet until his digestion is working.
