I tend to agree with your assessment of the Hydropulse. I had a Via Jet irrigator that lasted about a year and stopped due to a stuck motor. The same thing happened after about a year with a Hydropulse. My Hydropulse also leaked so much I kept it in a tray all the time to catch what leaked.
