Your story sounds EXACTLY like mine. I had the Mirena inserted in May 2007. called 2 months later saying I wanted it out. It totally made me have horrible mood swings (irrational) and EAT like I was pregnant and boobs hurt...you name it. I called the dr's office and he said tough it out a bit longer. August I called back and told them that someone in the office was taking this thing out of me that day and that I would be there by 10am. Well it's out. My dr. said the same thing he said it could not possibly have been the Mirena but maybe some "other mental condition" Whatever! All this mood change and weight gain happened after the Mirena. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was horrible
