who responded to this blog and the one about global warming! we're each entitled to our own opinions. Scientists don't agree about whether global warming is related to man-made activity or is a natural earth phenomenon--the only thing everyone seems to agree on is that it's happening.

I believe that it is both--due to man-made activity as well as natural earth phenomenon, with an emphasis on the natural earth occurance. as to what percent is due to what cause, who knows? and frankly, I DON'T CARE!

what I care about, and what made me jump with joy to see that the Supreme Court designated carbon emissions as pollution that the EPA is mandated to regulate, is that we no longer have an excuse to sit on our butts and do NOTHING about regulating vehicle exhaust--the number one cause of air pollution in many parts of the country, including S. California where I live, regulating the pollution produced by coal-burning power (and other pollutiong power) plants all over the country, and regulating other industrial pollutants.

For years, environmentalists have yelled about air pollution and the need for tighter regulations. Their concerns have been largely ignored by this current administration, which favors Big Business and making money over the health and welfare of humans, animals, and the Planet in general. Now that "global warming" has become a topic of mainstream conversation, and even some of the Bushites and Republicans are jumping on the bandwagon, maybe something will FINALLY be done about making more fuel-efficient cars, funding research for alternative fuels, regulating power-plant emissions, developing cleaner energy sources, using less fossil fuel, etc. THIS IS WHAT I CARE ABOUT.

While I believe that the majority of the so-called global warming is a cycle that Mother Earth is going through, I have tossed my hat into the ring with the "Global warming" warners because they are the ones that are going to push regulations to curb POLLUTION. In contrast, the global-warming nay-sayers in the political arena in Washington would continue do nothing about pollution, even as air quality and the quality of life for all living creatures and beings on the planet continues to decline because of our industrial excess. And that is MY opinion!

Blessings, Liora Leah
