I am sooo glad I found this website. My 4th child was born in July 2006. She was hospitalized within 24 hours of coming home and stayed in NICU for 4 days. When she was 11 days old, my father passed away. My mother was not well either. It was a very hard time for me and my family. Anyway...

I had the Mirena inserted in Aug 2006. After much research and discussion with my Dr. it was decided this would be the best birth control for me. Ever since then I have been severely depressed and exhausted. I also have the muscle aches, weight gain, moodiness, nausea and bloating. At first I attributed the side effects to the normal hormonal changes after giving birth and grieving for my father. It has now been 6 months and things are much better in my life emotionally. However, the physical side effects are getting worse. I suspected the Mirena at first, but figured I needed to give it more time. Not anymore.

I am going to make an appt to see my Dr. first thing tomorrow.
