"I seek only the truth in all things..."--kermit

Well, perhaps you should "seek" a little deeper, Kermit. You seem like a nice man, but it seems after reading an extensive amount of your blogs, there is a strange hint of narcissism embedded in your life. You seem to "feel", strangely, that you are correct in everything you state and you’re omnipotent in your "passing" to us mere humans your "truth's". Well, perhaps sometimes you are NOT correct, Kermit...I wonder, has this ever crossed your mind?

"First: Do not extend your argunment... i.e. Jim Baker, or anyone else has nothing that I see to do with this comparisson... "

Not only do you "extend" your thoughts of me not being able to tie the two together Kermit, you blatantly ASSume that others instantly don't see my comparisons? Says who, YOU? Again, you come across as “all knowing” and full of yourself.
My statement regarding Baker and Bush's failures ties DIRECTLY into the conversation we are having and your statement that "maybe Bush is right?". It shows a distinct pattern of Bush NEVER being right in the history of his life, and helps one determine how the rest of his actions coincide with his previous failures. He is stubbornly doing the same things and not changing course, time and time again in his life. Perhaps it would behoove you to actually look at the history of this man that you claim “may be right”? He is doing EXACTLY what he’s always done, only this time, WE have to pay for it.

"Next: I did not say that Geo Bush was Harry Truman... I used the truthful statement of Harry S. Truman... That it is better to be right; to heck with whats is popular!! Then if you care to reread my blog the question was " Maybe Pres. Bush is right? "

1) Yes Truman's statement was correct, but it has nothing to do with the reality of the NOW.
2) Bush is neither RIGHT...NOR popular Kermit.
3) As for your statement of "care to read the question it was about Maybe Pres. Bush is right?". Then if so, WHY bring up TRUMAN? If you have a problem with me discussing a quote YOU brought up Kermit, then don't bring it up....

"About pulling out and running on the mid east situation... You might notice the use of Maybe... HUH!!"

You also added to THIS conversation that "Maybe Bush is right" remember? So you cannot simply state that "Maybe" things will happen and then try to nonchalantly try to add in that "Maybe Bush is right". The test on whether on not something "may" happen is IRRELEVANT when the vast majority of the people want us OUT, kermit.
Again, As for what would happen to those "poooor people if we leave", and the we have to stay for them excuse?
Who should determine overall that decision? Shouldn't it be THEM? Common sense dictates so, does it not? The PEOPLE want us out and the parliament wants us out, so you have to ask yourself a simple question. WHY is that question about "what about them" STILL being asked? THEY are requesting we LEAVE.

"Last an occupation is when a nation or political group; comes into a country with plans to stay, like forever... I do not see how the US is staying forever... HUH!!"

OCCUPATION is NOT determined by YOUR definition, Kermit. Occupation is NOT based on a "time limit", and you know that it is not...Occupation is NOT based on "well it's not forever"...Occupation comes from being simply...OCCUPIED. We are occupiers, whether we stay a year or forever. PERIOD

"And just last week the Premier or President of Iraq said that if the US & the UK troops would stay for another year or two the Iraq Army would be able to take care of itself... So I do not know where you get your news... "

---144 lawmakers ( MAJORITY) signed onto a legislative petition calling on the United States to set a timetable for withdrawal. I get my news from…well, the news, and the Marines on the ground that I served with. I get my news from the PEOPLE and the PARLIAMENT of Iraq, and not from a sound-byte of OUR guy there asking for us to stay. We want them to be a “democracy”, correct?

"Still does not seem like an occupation to me..."

The people of the world call it an OCCUPATION, the Iraqi's call it an OCCUPATION....
What part of the “true situation” have you missed here, Kermit?

"So thanks for your views... Limited as they may be..."

I've served there, I've held a TS Clearance with the Military (Go Navy shipmate! ;-) ) etc etc. I would HARDLY call my views "limited", Kermit. I mean really, for a man that can't see that the rest of the world is calling us occupiers, and the Iraqis' THEMSELVES are calling us occupiers while you state we aren't and that Bush may be right????? Well, thanks for YOUR views Kermit. However, they are NOT based on the EXTREME Majority of the world's level-headed thinking, NOR REALITY.
MY Views, are based on REALITY. Your views on this tend to be based on what YOU “think” is right and how I, or others(?) should simply follow along with your “opinion” on this matter. But hey, maybe Bush Sr. and his son can Rewrite history in 20 years so he can be right?
