I have read that the blackness is caused by your colon finally having an opportunity to get rid of years of toxic build up. Normally, your colon is too busy getting rid of waste that was just put in and doesn't have time to fully clean itself up. However, it is now able to focus on waste that has just built up that it couldn't address beforehand.
