I think we all, (emphasize ALL) have periods where we revert back to our primal nature....  There is some truth (though not completely) in the phrase; the Devil made me do it....   There is an strong negative (evil) force on the earth today...  We must continually, seek the truth, and holiness of GOD, to guide us on our life pathway, dear sister...   So look up and keep your faith...   See Ya...
