Lysol is a horrible chemical contaminant--not sure what is in it, except it's toxic as heck! I read in the LA Times that 7 TONS of lysol is put into the air DAILY in southern California. The state won't classify it as a "poison" 'cause the "experts" (read: "industrial chemists that work for the company that makes the stuff") claim its benefits in killing bacteria outweigh its health risks.

I DOUBT THAT!!

I went to an expert in chemical sensitivity years ago; he tested me by having me sniff lysol--it made me "drunk". I couldn't walk straight down the hallway--I actually got giddy and goofy. then he stuck me in front of a computer that tests your reaction time to objects that appear on the computer--all I had to do was click a simple clicker everytime I saw a particular object. I failed the test miserably, my reaction time was extremely delayed. after the lysol affects "wore off" I had a horrible headache and felt sick.

Lysol definitely acts as a neurotoxin for me!

Dr. Kaye Kilburn, professor of internal medicine at USC's Keck School of Medicine, is quoted as saying: "They are the same solvents that are used in industry to degrease and do other things...When they evaporate, they are transported directly to the brain, where they can be as intoxicating as ether or chloroform. These are palpably dangerous to health."
