yes, I had the same feeling when I read the article, but posted it anyway as it draws attention to a growing problem in our society--if you're wealthy, you can afford to live in a cleaner environment, and if you're poor, well, too bad! Your health is going to be affected adversely. Unfortunately, and I don't have statistics at my fingertips to back it up, there are more people of color who are poor (percentage-wise) than there are poor whites (again, percentage wise) who reside in cities, so the "race card" and the economic class discrimination issues overlap. Not sure how this pans out in rural areas.

as to your questions--not sure if you're asking me personally or making a general point--I don't happen to know anyway who is wealthy. I do rub elbows with people who are middle class and upper-middle class, and lower-middle class, and have friends among the poor--primarily those who live on SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or SSDI (Social Security Disability) due to medical disability. I act the same no matter how much money someone has or doesn't have. Guess I learned that people are people no matter what--after 19 years of being a professional social worker, working with all ages, ethnicities, socio-economic status, health challenges, etc. etc. etc. Why act one way with one friend and another way with another friend? and my family members are very diverse in their economic status, too--so not sure what you'd like to convey by your questions.
