Per my horoscope, the new moon is in my sign this weekend. I feel it. I feel new. Its been a month since my break up. I'm fine. I feel like me again. I woke up at 5:30 am ready to start the day. I took my dog out for a long walk and some play time. Its been awhile since I took him to the tennis court for a run and it shows. I will make it a habit (again) to take him there every morning. The squirrels and brids came by looking for breakfast. I'm out of feed (note to self: go to Home Depot tomorrow and get two big bags). I meditated for twenty minutes.

I decided to take a trip to the farmer's market in Old Town. Its the oldest market in the country that has been at the same place (for over 200 years). Its the first time I've been there since I moved here. I will definitely make a trip there on a weekly basis for fruit and veggies. I couldn't believe the size of the peaches. And WAY cheaper than whole foods. I didn't see any local dairy or meat farmers there. I believe the market at Dupont Circle has that. When I run out of meat, I will look into the goat share and order beef from a local farm, so hopefully I won't have to make a trip. Went to Whole Foods and bought the rest of what I needed. I really enjoyed my morning. I had a cup of coffee and a bagel w/ cream cheese (is it me or does simple pleasures like this taste so much better when you choose to live a clean & healthly lifestyle??). Yes, I know TABOO. But, I can't explain what I feel today. But this is the first morning I enjoyed in awhile. No chores, no schedule, no getting ready to please someone else . . . just being me.

While enjoying this lovely Saturday morning, I decided to stop wearing make-up. I will still need an eye pencil to fill in my eyebrows until the completely grow in. But, no more eyeliner, eye shadow, lipstick etc. Just oil or beeswak as a lip gloss, let the good fats in my diet make my skin glow, BSM to keep my hair nice and dark, and enjoy life. I made the decision to stop wearing contacts months ago. My eyes seem to be improving every year. I actually enjoy wearing glasses. I still have perfume left. I don't like to waste things, when I'm completely out I will just wear essential oils to smell good. I admit the two things I will not give up are getting my hair straightened and nail polish.

Its 11:15am, and I will get started on cleaning my home. I'm meeting a friend at the mall. I haven't hung out at the mall in awhile. My plans for tonight went from going out dancing, to meeting someone from dinner, to seeing a friend. Dancing in a club and dealing with that scene isn't my thing. I don't have any interest in meeting new people tonight and I just don't want to hear my friend complain tonight. I admit I'm feeling quite selfish. I'm going to find a coffee shop I can sit in and complete my book club book. I just want to relax.

Tomorrow, I will provide a review for the week. It didn't go completely as planned. But, I learned a lot.
