Blog: My Juice Fasts And Weight Battle
It is not a secret that it is important to chew food. We all have heard this. But it is interesting, as I started to eat solid food, I found myself chewing longer. It was not a conscious decision. I was very naturally doing it.
*****CORNY ALERT*****
As I thought about it, it was really like turning my "food" into "juice" with my teeth and mouth. Good for my system I would guess. It has become a major priority in the small amount I've eaten since the fast and something I hope will last longer.

Yes I can completely relate on that one. I just came off a 7day fast (it too was my 1st) and when I had the choice for a 1st meal I was real cautious as to what I wanted in my system. I decided on small 1/2 cup serving of brown rice with diced peppers and onions. Daring I know. It was completely unconscious at first but when I ate it, I chewed every piece of rice completely. It took me as long to eat my small serving of rice as it did for my friends to eat their plates which were full of all kinds of meat and heavy foods that to this day I still don't feel ready to ingest.
After about 3 days though as I introduced more foods I started eating a bit more like my old self but here I am 7 days later and I still haven't dared to eat anything but veggies, fruit or fish. I love that Juicing helped me to create a more healthy balance to my diet. Congrats on making it to 9 days. I'm going for 10 on my next attempt. Which hopefully once I get there I will want to stretch out to 14 and so on....
