Well, I woke up in alot better spirits than the first day. I was a little sluggish and weak but I felt pretty good overall. All day I wasn't tired which is surprising since I didn't have my morning tea again... I thought that part would be difficult. No headaches either- I had a good second day.

I admit though, I'm wasn't as sharp as I needed to be at work. I made more mistakes and I needed to double check my work more often. I felt dull in that aspect. I'm glad I have a desk job, well, at least for this. But my job is still pretty demanding and can be stressful, but this week has been blessedly slow. Anyway, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fast but my eyes seem to be a little more sensitive than usual.

I also found I was getting that coating on my tongue- eww!! I'm brushing my teeth more often because of the breath and the tongue thing; not being able to chew gum is pretty hard too.

Oh, and I had 3 BMs yesterday, lol. I haven't done the salt water drink in the morning because I figured I've never had any issues with that, but if I didn't see anything today I was going to do that the next morning. Plus I'm sort of afraid to do that while at work, even though there is a bathroom close by. *grin*

I was a little weak but I was able to walk to the grocery store for more lemons, which is something I couldn't have done yesterday. I was probably dragging my ass a bit but I made it. :)

My friend and coworker who's doing this with me had an awful day yesterday. :( She had a headache all day and was as tired as I was the first day. It's interesting to go through this with someone to see the different effects each day; I hope she can continue on with me. She seems to be having a much harder time with this than I am.

It was really tough to come home and have my BF cooking his dinner. I told him there's no point to him suffering while I do this, so I encouraged him to do whatever he wants to do and don't mind me or my begging for food. ;) He made pizza last night, dammit, and that was TOUGH. I sipped my drink and played on the internet to try to take my mind off the glorious pizza smell wafting through our home.

I was able to stay up until about 10:30 last night with no problem. I slept well too- I haven't had any problem with that and I really didn't expect to. I'm a very good sleeper. ;)

So I finished my second day with a few minor bumps- on to Day 3!

Good Luck as you head to day 3! I am on 3 and day 2 was better for me I think. Funny how we all react different. I hope your friend comes through.

Praying for you and wish you well

    • The smell of food is the WORST!   by  annaconda     18 y     2,740
If you and your friend can get through the first three days, it's all downhill from there. Make sure to stay hydrated even if you're running to the restroom every 15 minutes - it'll wash the headache through faster.

      WATER WATER WATER WATER!!!

I can't stand fasting if someone's cooking it's the worst. I have to leave the room. Some posters here can even COOK for their families and get through a 30 day fast!!!

I am not one of those people. And I love Cedar Point - I grew up in Pittsburgh. Ever been to Kennywood? Smaller coasters, smaller lines, better (well I was going to name some carnival junk food but I'll spare you).

      :)
