Blog: Peace, Love, and Fasting
Were back :-) We had done a five day run a few weeks ago but caved...
Now we are ready to jump on board and enjoy the ride!!! So far the ride is off to a smooth start -- tea last night, SWF this morning. Now for the lemonade that we have both come to enjoy. Upon reading Zoe's blog we've decided to incorporate a Peppermint tea into our diet as well, whenever we feel the need for "comfort food".
We have yet to venture outside this morning (late sleepers) but we intend to create a "sacred place" in which to meditate daily.
Being that we live together, we are cleansing together and only have one working toilet in the house, we are having to start the flushing process about an hour apart so as not to create a battle for the porcelain thorne!!! But mom is used to not eating breakfast, so it's not a problem for her to postpone her morning lemonade. We also rise at different times, depending on my two year old, who rises when SHE chooses to :-), so it shouldn't be an issue that often.
What really bites is that my husband is not doing the cleanse and my little girl HAS to eat, and I am responsible for feeding them. I must still prepare their food, and this morning when cutting up my daughters banana I thought "Can't I have just one bite???" But my will power won out and I just enjoyed the smell instead.
Day 1 is off to a fine start for both of us, and eliminations have begun!!!
Good luck and stay strong to all our fellow passengers!!!

loved your prayer!
and WAY to GO resisting the banana! I have to feed my little flock of birds and cut up apples, bananas, and aaaah....string cheese is one of their favorites, so I can really identify but you did it!! I actually say aloud to myself when I leave the birdroom without a nibble of the snacks they get, "you did it Zoe", which for now is enough of a pat on the back. Also...ggg...knowing that as a *team* we are wanting to finish our marathon keeps me honest and true.
I wish you BOTH the best....and NO fighting over the potty...ggg.
blessings,
Zoe

i enjoyed the little prayer, made me snicker to myself. i am glad day one going well. and congrats on turning the banana down, it wouldn't have tasted that great anyway, it would have left a bed taste in your mouth, (not worth the shame, anger, and torture of giving into temptation). you did good. i think it is funny that your mother and you may a race for the "throne" sounds kind of like a game--not so funny though if you aren't the first one to make it there!! stay strong and take care. cayenne queen

Thank you cayennequeen and Zoe for your support!!! That banana was screaming my name!!!! Our morning ritual is to have some manner of fresh fruit, and that happens to be my favorite. I think I subconciously fed it to her, you know, maybe I could experience it through her enjoyment of it, being her favorite as well :-)
