An Beautiful Invitation
It's been said that keeping a blog about our progress on the Master Cleanse would keep us honest, so we've decided to do just that!
My name is Cori and I am 30 years old. My mother's name is Debbie and she is 50 years old. We live togther, and are undertaking this cleanse together as well. I don't have any medical conditions to speak of other than poor circulation caused by 12 years of smoking over a pack of cigarettes a day. I have acute anxiety disorder which I have gained control of through a self help program over the last 15 weeks. I still seem to have a chemical imbalance of some sort, because whenever I consume sugar, caffine, chocolate, or orange juice it creates a severe pounding of my heart that will last for well over an hour, and sometimes it feels as if my heart does a flip-flop. I am sure that the problem lies in my adrenal glands and I am undertaking this cleanse to try to correct the problem.
My mother is about 20 lbs. over weight and is hoping to loose it during the cleanse. She has suffered neck and back injuries, and in doing some research we've found that the cleanse may help relieve some of her pain, if not remove the cyst she's developed. She is a smoker as well, and we are both hoping to kick our very disgusting bad habit. I mean, we are paying money to kill ourselves!!! How crazy is that???
We are both very determined to make it to 40 days, for spiritual reasons. We have cleansed 5 days in May and are preparing to begin our new cleanse on June 6, devil be damned!!!
We have eliminated meat, eggs, bread, pasta, glutens, and dairy from our diet over the passed week, consuming mainly veggies, fruits (fresh and dried), beans, legumes, nuts, and a lemonade for breakfast everyday. We will begin our nightly herbal laxitive tea tonight (Sunday), and begin our fast on Tuesday. We couldn't be more excited!!!
Thank you all for taking the time to hear our story, and I will begin posting daily when we begin the cleanse.
Thanks to everyone for all the support we've received on the forum!!!

Yay, its wonderful you and your mom have decided to take up the commitment to say YES to you and make the changes to help facilitate regaining a level of health you both are more comfortable with. I would not be surprised if your mom does not feel much better and at the end of 40 days she will be lighter and more motivated to keep up the progress. You may have to plan a funeral for your smoking habit since it is what you say, a death delivery system.
This fast should rest your adrenals and post-cleanse if you still feel like this is an issue, I can recommend Dr. Christophers adrenal formula. It only took one bottle to turn me around.
Best wishes on your journey and of course, I am also slurping lemonade along with you...and will hold your success in my thoughts!
blessings,
Zoe

It IS truly wonderful that my mom and I are embarking on this journey together! I am so determined to make it to day 40 that I can't imagine anything turning me back!!! I look at it this way: food will always be there, I am doing this for a relatively short span of my life, and when I return to food my mind, body, and soul will have become one. I will begin to make proper food choices, and maintain the level of health that I've achieved. I don't really feel this journey will ever be OVER. This is just the beginning! So many people on the forum say they can't wait until day whatever, but I am focusing on the present moment, relishing every achievement and marking my days off as I go!!!
What a wonderful journey I am on, and I am greatful for all of the supportive friends that I've found on this forum.
Many Thanks!!!!
Cori
